Overview

After several false starts, I am finally launching myself into a new series on engine design in XNA.

The intent is to demonstrate how an engine can be built, whilst demonstrating why XNA itself is not an engine (a common misconception for beginners) and introducing a number of useful tools (NUnit, SVN...) and practices (TDD, design patterns...). This is intended for people who already have some grasp of C# but not necessarily XNA.

For those of you who are new to XNA can I also strongly suggest following Shawn Hargreaves excellent blog at: http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnhar/
